San Francisco, CA, September 14, 2026 - eventual, the AI-native insurance operations platform, today announced that Raj Kalahasthi has joined the company as Chief Customer Officer, bringing one of the industry's most respected operators inside the platform being built for brokerages.
As Chief Customer Officer, Raj will align eventual's roadmap and execution to the outcomes brokers need, and the broader industry partnerships that make those outcomes possible at scale.
“The most experienced operators in this industry are choosing where to place their bets, and they are choosing platforms that build for brokerages rather than around them,” said Mohit Chawla, CEO and founder of eventual. “Raj is one of the most innovative and respected leaders in brokerage and technology. Among many options, he chose to join us to help build the rails insurance runs on. I can't think of a stronger signal about what we're building for brokers - and I look forward to the outcomes we'll create together for our customers.”
Operators are choosing to build for brokerages, not replace them
Capital is moving into insurance distribution faster than at any point in the industry's history, and much of it is aimed at replacing the broker. eventual has made the opposite bet: the trusted advisor stays, and the operating model underneath them gets rewired. eventual started with the hardest problems in a brokerage - direct bill and agency bill reconciliation, cash application, invoicing, carrier statement and document retrieval - and built one data layer across 140+ carriers and every agency management system before extending it to run the workflows a brokerage owns.
Raj's appointment brings the industry and enterprise perspective inside that work, from both the operations and the technology side of the table.
“Insurance is, and always will be, a human business - relationships, judgment, trust, and showing up in the moments of truth,” Raj said. “Every hour a broker spends reconciling a statement or chasing a document is an hour not spent in one of those moments. eventual is building the rails that give those hours back. I'm excited to co-shape that roadmap with the industry, hold our execution to the outcomes brokers can see, and build the partnerships that make them possible at scale.”
A career on both sides of the technology partnership
Raj has spent more than 25 years leading enterprise-scale transformation across insurance and financial services - as an executive building, choosing and deploying systems inside complex organizations, and as an advisor helping technology companies understand what enterprise customers need to succeed.
Most recently he was the first Chief Digital & Information Officer of The Baldwin Group, where he built the firm's integrated technology platform from the ground up - bringing more than 35 acquired businesses onto one digital ecosystem with structured, connected data - and launched an embedded insurance business. Over the past year, through Catalyx Advisory, he worked closely with startups and brokerage leaders on operating models and responsible AI adoption. In 2025 he was named the National Large Corporate ORBIE CIO of the Year.
What Raj will own
Raj's mandate is straightforward: keep eventual close to the people doing the work, make implementation and adoption as rigorous as the technology itself, and build long-term partnerships around outcomes customers can see.
He will own the customer outcome end to end - from discovery and implementation through adoption and expansion - so that customer priorities shape the roadmap and time to value keeps shrinking.
He will also lead eventual's partnerships across the industry - the carriers, agency management systems, broker networks and industry bodies whose cooperation determines whether outcomes reach every brokerage.
